Activities in the Music Department

There are a number of musical activities for students to participate in, covering a wide range of musical styles.

- A lower school Taiko drumming group, which you may already have had some experience of.

- A lower school orchestra/jazz band that meets on a weekly basis.

- A lower school drumming club.

- The opportunity to perform in smaller ensembles, for example a string quartet.

- Workshops with students from upper school are arranged so as to combine musicians across the college. This usually happens once or twice a term.

- The opportunity to work with other students in rock school workshops and form your own groups with the opportunity to rehearse at school.

- Theory workshops are also offered. –

If you are a musician and would like to join any of the above activities, you will be given full details when you arrive at QECC in September.

Drama Club

There will be an after school or lunch time drama club open to all. Look out for details in September.
